I'll bet it's because konstruct assumes you're using GNU make ('gmake') rather than BSD make ('make'). If you want to have any chance of it working, you'll have to use 'gmake install' instead of 'make install'. However, if you're unfamiliar with the toolchain, I'd recommend waiting till 3.5 makes it into ports, and then just grab the packages.
