kruler confusion

Hello,
I am using kde 3.4.2 on gentoo. I was looking at the functionalities
of kruler, and I came across some files called kruler.cpp and kruler.h
in KDE 3.4 svn. I believe the kruler binary that I use in kde is
actually built from klineal.cpp, so I don't know what kruler.cpp is,
but I'm interested in it because in its source it seems to have
options for changing units of measurement. Can anyone help me
understand the difference between klineal.cpp and kruler.cpp? Are
these similiar utilities or is kruler.cpp something different?

These are the svn links I was browsing for klineal.cpp and kruler.cpp,
respectively.

Thanks!
