Hi Marc. Using Start/Findfiles should find it. Just type kopete in the top
box, and select / (root) in the box beneath, and it should bring up the
location of the binary.

Just for info, these are the places it is on different distro's.
Debian: /usr/bin/    using KDE 3.3.2
Gentoo: /usr/kde/3.3 or 3.4/bin/   using KDE 3.3  or  3.4
Slackware 10.0:  /opt/kde/bin/   using KDE 3.2.3
Fedora Core 2 & 3:   /usr/bin/   using KDE3.4 on FC3, and KDE3.2.2-14 on FC2

All the best. Nigel.

Got Gentoo?

It usually takes more than three weeks to prepare a good impromptu speech.
