Konqueror and Cookie Daemon (?!)

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,

Since last update I am having a blocking problem with the Konqueror browser.

I can't enable Tools -> HTML Settings -> Cookies any more and a few sites
don't allow a normal connection for that issue. The messages I get while
trying to activate cookies is "I can't enable cookies, because the cookie
daemon could not be started.".

If I go to Settings -> Configure Konqueror -> Cookies I get another error
message: "Unable to start the cookie handler service. You will not be able to
manage the cookies that are stored on your computer.".

Do any of you know what is that "cookie daemon" and how to solve this problem?

I'm running KDE 3.4 that is embedded in Fedora Core IV.

Thanks in advance to any of you who will reply.

fabio
