Except that when they logon they get a popup message saying
"Will not save configuration
~someuser/.kde/share/config/kdesktoprc not writable
Please contact your system administrator"
and the message is behind the kde splash screen (which hangs at loading the
desktop and it stays hung until the afore message is replied to). Since you
cannot see the message, it is hard to click the OK button. Our users are not
the brightest of people (they don't read the screen) so they wouldn't know
how to get their login to complete.
There has to be a way to lock down the desktop so that the lockdown cannot be
circumvented.
