Re: KDE Menu Apps and Control Center Missing!

OK, I created a "setenv.sh" file in ~/.kde/env with the suggested export
commands, then restarted kdm (my whole pc actually.)  Still doesn't
work.  

Here's some (useful?) output *after* the reboot:

        tsuther@angrybutler2:~/.kde/env$ echo $XDG_DATA_DIRS
        /share:/usr/local/share:/usr/share
        tsuther@angrybutler2:~/.kde/env$ echo $XDG_CONFIG_DIRS
        /etc/xdg
        tsuther@angrybutler2:/etc/xdg/menus$ kde-config --localprefix
        /home/tsuther/.kde/
        tsuther@angrybutler2:/etc/xdg/menus$ kde-config --prefix
        /usr
