corrupted jpeg images in kde viewer part

Hi all! I'm new on this list, so please correct me if I'm wrong :)
I'm using KDE 3.4 on two NetBSD systems. One is on a i386 PC, the other is on
a powerbook. With the i386, I have no problems at all and I can see every
kind of image very well :) but on the powerpc most jpeg images just seem to
be visualized corrupted. I mean, when I click on a preview in konqueror to
see an image or I visualize previews *with scaling* in Gwenview and so on, a
strange thing happens. Over the real image two levels of shadows are
displayed, one yellow and one blue, which reproduce the dark areas of the
image, but moved some dozens pixels away... What's the matter here? What can
I do? Thank you very much :)

david
