Andrew, thanks for taking the time to answer, however your'e assumptions are incorrect about our HDD space problem.  We would like to stay focused on the issue of accessing the KDE configuration and mail data.

As far as us reading or not reading the list archives; there is no time to wade through the list for a resolution --job constraints.  If you know this question has been previously answered via the list, It would have been most helpful to just provide the/a link intead of pointing out what you preceive to be someones short comings with respects to research.

<smile>

Do you have a link to a maillist item or article that will directly help us recover and/or gain access to the above mentioned data?

High priority and sensitive huh?
Pity! Its a simple problem but I charge highly and insensitively for sound
advice especially to people that couldn't be bothered reading the list except
direct to list where my payment is that warm fuzzy feeling that I may have
helped multiple people with the same problem.
I think I have a clue to your HDD problem though! If you dont have room for
a few kbytes of list digests then you could be having quota or tmp file
problems due to insufficient disk space...
