No, they dont have any problems and that they are NOT dum enough to try to do a standard-upgrade on a non-standard installation or if they do they know enough about what they modified to compensate for it. All you have to do is search the lists and you will see that almost all failed upgrades are because the user did not know what they were doing. Why blame KDE for your own inadequacies? All your problems relate to a misconfiguration that you yourself self-admittedly created. If you fail to read your documentation and then set things incorrectly you cant blame KDE.
