We hear in the press and from Linux proponents that Linux-based systems
can be a viable, alternative desktop environment to Windows CE/ME/NT for
the corporate and home user. If this is really the goal, the desktop
needs to be similar to the environment with which the average user is
familiar. Microsoft-ish behaviour is needed to induce the average user to
switch from Windows to Linux.
