I like the new tooltips, but perfect would be the old icon zoom FX, followed by the Tooltip if the mouse hovers a bit longer over the icon (iconzoom on instant, tooltip after 2 seconds delay, or so)


And: If the icon-zoom FX would be optional, and e.g. turned off by default, there wouldn't be any usability issues left with it; Of course, if the code was *that* messy, it would have to be rewritten from scratch, that's probably the main reason not to do it...
