If you want to move files around you can do that directly in konqueror
in conjunction with the fish or the ftp protocol (fish uses ssh):

Just split the konqueror window (for example using the window menu)
then have one of the views point to the place where your files are
and enter a fish or ftp URL as location of the other:

fish://youruser:yourpassword@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx/home/youruser/
or
ftp://youruser:yourpassword@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx/home/youruser/

You can also leave out the :yourpassword part (if someone is
looking over your shoulder ;-), KDE will then ask you with a popup.

If you plan to do that on a regular basis you can also save
the view arrangement you have created as a profile in the
Settings menu.

Works great for me, I don't need any other scp tool...
and BTW, those protocols work in most places where you can specify a URL
in KDE! So "Save As" in kate can save the file to a remote host!

Cheers,
Christian.
