RESOLVED: Konqueror fonts?

Apparently the problem is resolved. I went into kcontrol (as root), went to 
"font installation", hunted out Helvetica everywhere (it was under 
encoding/75 dpi for 3 encodings), and disabled all the Helvetica fonts. Now 
things seem to work right.
