Hi The attributes of kcheckpass are OK. Here : # ls -l /opt/kde3.4-RC1/bin/kcheckpass -rwsr-sr-x 1 root root 18165 2005-02-28 12:59 /opt/kde3.4-RC1/bin/kcheckpass And it authorizes me without a problem.
