I installed in Slackware 10.0 the new KDE 3.3.2. However, I continue to have a problem with Freeetype 2.1.9. When I try to open the font installer from control center, I receive an error message:

How is it possible to solve this persistent trouble?
Such problems are often caused by having more than one version of the library installed.
As root, execute:
ldconfig -v |grep freetype
and post your results.
