Double-click behavior

Hello,

When setting the option to double-click to activate icons in KDE, the
right-click behavior is also changed so that you cannot simply
right-click and left-click on an item - you must right-click, hold it,
and release on the item you wish to select. Is there a way around this
and/or a setting that will change this? Thanks in advance!
