Finally (!) is there any documentation anywhere on what ConfigureDesktop/Components/FileManager/Previews&MetaData protocols are? Some are obvious e.g. smb but for e.g. Local Protocols man/programs etc its not clear to me what they affect.
Open help center and go to the kioslaves sections. Most (like man:/) are listed, some are even documented ;-)
To see what the program:/ ioslave does : type program:/ into konqueror (address field) and you will see...
