Hey,

I created a new mime type in Konqueror in the Settings-->Config Konqueror-->File Associations menu dialog for .ogg files, which should call 'xmms' to play them. However, it asks every time what application should be opened for .ogg every time I click an ogg file. No such problem for the default built in mime types (mp3, wav, etc.)

Interestingly, I can open a .ogg from the desktop, and it successfully associates an application with .ogg. So it appears KDE proper recognizes the link to an app to use, so it's a konqueror-only problem?

I've tried for more than an hour to fix this, even hacking ~./kde config files by grepping for mime associations with no luck. Is this a bug in konqueror, or is there a simple fix I've missed?

Thanks in advance.

You shouldn't have needed to add a MIME type for OGG. The MIME type is: "audio/vorbis". If you added something else, you probably confused it.
