I changed the structure under "/usr/share/applnk" according to my needs. Then i symlinked the "/usr/kde/share/applnk" to "/usr/share/applnk".
But although, there's no other applnk-directory, kde does load the distributional menu, when logging in with a new user.
I have no idea, where it got it from. I use gentoo.
So what do i need to change, to change ALL menus at ONE point?
If you want things all in one place you need to link:
/usr/kde/share -> /usr/share /usr/kde/etc -> /etc
If you have other places with 'share' and 'etc' you might find it useful to link them as well.
