How to I select part of a link i konqueror

If the text is at the beginning or end of the link I can star selection 
outside the link, but how do I do when I want to select a part that is 
somewhere in the middle?

The obvious workaround of copying the whole link text to another place and 
doing the subselection there, but I'd like to do it in-place if possible.
