Sorry guys
I (stupidly) had font Anti Aliasing enabled, and this caused my KDE Konsole to not load the font.
basically to get ANSI graphics in Konsole with sabvga.pcf.gz (found by google):
cd /opt/kde/share/fonts
mv console8x8.pcf.gz console8x8.pcf.gz.old
mv /tmp/sabvga.pcf ./console8x8.pcf.gz
chattr +i fonts.dir ( to prevent overwriting )
then xset fp rehash and restart konsole.
