Disabling auto spellcheck in KMail

Does anyone know how to disable the auto spellcheck capability in KMail?
I'm using: 
		KMail V1.5.3
		KDE V3.1.3.

The properly spelled words turning red because they are not in the dictionary 
is driving my wife crazy.
