virtual desktop switching

Hello-

I was just wanting to know if there is such a thing as I'll describe below
or if there would be any one interested:

from the tool bar, when you click on the desktop you wish to switch to
instead of this being an instantaneous event,  have the desktop fade in
over the existing one, sort of like a morf I guess.
