What's happened? Since my upgrade, arts stops with a message concerning CPU-Overload?!
Distro is Gentoo. Sound is ALSA, of course working, onboard.
Please try this:
Open the: "Sound System" KCM.
Under the: "Hardware" tab: in the list box: "Select the audio device", Manually select ALSA.
This fixed the problem for me.
