Create a new session profile. For all systems i connect to via ssh, 
i create a new session profile. There you can assign an icon, which 
will be shown on the tab, and a color scheme.
Just type in the command field something like ssh <user>@<server>.

I'm using different icons an color schemes for each profile even for 
su - at my maschine, so just seeing the background color i know 
where i'm on.
