Hi, I think that the best think would be to download KDE_3_2_BRANCH of kdenetwork and compile Kopete from this branch. To do this you just: export CVSROOT=:pserver:anonymous@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:/home/kde cvs login cvs co -r KDE_3_2_BRANCH kdenetwork cd kdenetwork make -f Makefile.cvs ./configure cd kopete make make install (You'll find more info on http://developer.kde.org/source/anoncvs.html) This should be enough, no need to reinstall the whole of KDE not even whole kdenetwork.
