I have been using wget version 1.8.2 (MDK 9.x) and have done downloads on my dialup line that take several days to complete. It works with disconnects, timeouts, postfix hogging the bandwith and etc.
The command I use is:
wget --waitretry=15 -c -t 0 -O outputfilename -T 60 URL_TO_GET
Yes, wget works. But, KGet should do the same.
I didn't find a bug report for this problem.
Perhaps he should file one.
