No idea, we used to do that in KDE 1.x I believe but there were some unsolvable problems with that approach. Something to do with repaint events and/or drag & drop and/or focus handling, but I don't know the details.

If you run XPenguins on KDE, it does things to you icons and they are not redrawn unless you hover them.


Is it supposed to work that way, or is that the problem.
