NASA/JPL Educator Workshop: Astrobiology and the Search for Life
When: Saturday, Feb. 9, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, California
Target Audience: Formal and informal educators for grades 4-12
Overview: Not long ago, the search for alien life was seen as science fiction. But in recent years, the field of astrobiology, which seeks to answer some of humanity's biggest questions – such as, "How did life form on Earth?" – has become a key component of NASA's exploration of the solar system and beyond. In this workshop, we will explore activities that bridge space and life science and discuss how NASA spacecraft search for signs of life in our solar system and beyond.
