Art and the Cosmic Connection

When: Saturday, August 15, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Where: NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Von Karman Auditorium, Pasadena, California

Target Audience: Formal and informal educators for grades K-12

Overview: Geology meets art! Let your inner geologist use art to recreate craters, mountains, rivers, wind-driven landscapes and more. Learn to read planetary images as well as Earth images. This educator workshops meets Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) for "Earth Systems: Earth's Place in the Universe" with climate change and social studies integration.
