Sea Level, Salinity and Soil Moisture - The Climate Connections

Date: Friday, Aug. 7 - 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. / Saturday, Aug. 8 - 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Target Audience: Formal and informal educators for grades 6-12

Location: NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, California

Overview: Work directly with JPL scientists and discover how NASA satellites are providing data on ocean circulation, water cycle and climate issues, such as sea level rise. Content and activities will help your students understand real-world applications of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), including Science and Engineering Practices.

This free workshop is offered by the Jason-3, Aquarius and Soil Moisture Active Passive missions in conjunction with the NASA/JPL Educator Resource Center.
