Caltech to Host TEDx Event for Young Generation of Thinkers
Fifteen speakers from various walks of life will give the "talk of their lifetime" on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, as Caltech hosts a TEDx event tailored to the discoveries, talents and dreams of today's youth.
The TEDxYouth event, open to all ages, will feature speakers including former JPL Mars rover engineer Rob Usiskin, Rubik's Cube master Tyson Mao, neuroscientist Audrey Chen, and physician and broadcast personality Drew Pinsky, among others, and offer opportunities for audience members to mingle and connect with the presenters.
Tickets are $5 for students (grades 6-12) and $25 for adults. Attendees can register online at http://conta.cc/VzvrNK or at the door starting at 10:30 a.m. (Event organizers recommend arriving by 10 a.m. to allow for pre-event networking and mingling.)

TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. This TEDxYouth event is meant to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group and has been independently organized by Caltech.
