JPL to Host High-Tech Small-Business Conference

Pasadena, Calif. - NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., will host the 20th annual High-Tech Conference for Small Business on March 4 and 5 at the Radisson Hotel near Los Angeles International Airport.

At this two-day conference, minorities, women and veterans who own small high-tech businesses will have the opportunity to meet purchasing and technical representatives from major corporations, federal agencies, and city and state government to discuss contract opportunities.

Conference organizers estimate the annual conference has an average attendance of 1,200 participants, including 300 prime contractor/government agency representatives. The conference will feature several "how-to" workshops. These workshops include explanations of how to do business with the federal government and JPL, how to use federal government certification programs to boost business growth, and how to use technology transfer and research programs for small business.

There is no fee to exhibit. Exhibitors are limited to prime contractors and government agencies because of space limitations. For exhibit information, contact Jasmine Colbert of JPL at 818-354-8689.

A conference registration fee of $140 per attendee is due by Feb. 8, 2008. Pre-registration is advised. Online registration is available at: http://acquisition.jpl.nasa.gov/boo/2007ht/jpl_conference_db/index.asp.

For more information, contact Amber Norton at amber.j.norton@xxxxxxxxxxxx or 818-354-7531.

Hotel accommodations should be made, if needed, before Feb. 8. Hotel reservations can be made at http://www.radisson.com/jpl .

JPL is managed by the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena.
