 Thanks. Will do in the morning. I plan on keeping drm, i915, et al. as ports  - graphics moves faster than FreeBSD releases. Thus, it should be easier to do sane things with the headers without being tied to kernel source layout. 

I know it's old hat to you all, but I'm happy to report that the 4.6 i915 driver works on FreeBSD on skylake with at least basic 3D hw acceleration. When one is coming from being 39 months behind to the latest driver, little things like that are exciting.
