[QA 2015/03/20 ww12] Testing report for `drm-intel-testing` (was: Updated -next)

Summary

We covered the platforms: Skylake, Braswell, Broadwell, Haswell, Baytrail. In this circle, 10 new bugs have been found (89596 89594 89668 89631 89606  89605 89601 89600 89585 89604) in manual testing and 13 new bugs have been found in nightly testing.

SKL	Tested on Skylake mobile 89596 - [SKL]System output "ERROR" when it resumes from S4 connecting DP monitor 89594 - [SKL] DP monitor can't be lighted up with raw X on 4k resolution after hoplug 89055 [SKL mobile]"testdisplay –a "case causes Call Trace "at drivers/gpu/drm/i915/intel_pm.c" 89073 [SKL mobile]DP probably fails to be lighted up , plug in after os boot up. 89074 [SKL mobile]HDMI sporadically fails to be lighted up , plug in after os boot up.    Below bugs is fixed 89036 [SKL regression] 3 pipe displays cannot work together randomly(fail rate: 20%) 89053 [SKL] “xrandr –output DP2 –rotation <rotation>” leads black screen.
BSW	Tested with V59 BIOS and upgraded processor. 89668 [BSW] HDMI screen becomes black after replug HDMI cable 89631 [BSW] DP screen is black after resuming from S3/S4 when DP connection is the only connection 89606 [BSW] DVI screen is black on some modes when running testdisplay 89605 [BSW] testdisplay on 3 pipe does not show in one monitor 89601 [BSW] Sometimes dmesg shows " *ERROR* EDID checksum is invalid" when connected with HDMI monitor 89600 [BSW] GPU hangs after S3 + S4 89585 - [BSW]HDMI resolution-2560x1440@60Hz can't be lighted up with non-reduced blanking 89461 - [BSW] replug HDMI/DP cable does not light up screen sometimes 88963 [BSW] DP screen is black when running testdisplay on some modes     Below bugs are fixed: 89350 - [BSW bisected] kernel fails to start up 87666 [BSW] Only DP screen shows text when DP and HDMI screen are connected: Fixed by upgrading processor & BIOS to V59. 89462 - [BSW] System recognize DVI monitor as HDMI: Expected 89005 - [BSW Regression] System will hang after suspend/resume for several times 89002 testdisplay shows black screen for HDMI 4K monitor: Fixed by upgrading processor & BIOS to V59 88382 HDMI screen becomes black after resuming from S3/S4: Fixed by upgrading processor & BIOS to V59.
BDW	89439 - [BDW] xterm disappears on HDMI screen if rotate from left to right after S3 Bug 74102 - [ILK/SNB/IVB/HSW/BDW]igt/testdisplay causes *ERROR* Pipe A FIFO underrun   Below bug is fixed: 86478 *ERROR* uncleared pch fifo underrun on pch transcoder A & *ERROR* uncleared fifo underrun on pipe B while plugging in VGA: Daniel close this bug since he thinks that the bug contains many different issues, which is confusing. We still see Pipe B underrun issue that now checked in 74102.
HSW	86233 - [HSW regression] PCH transcoder A FIFO underrun while hot-plug VGA 82551 - [HSW/BDW] HDMI hot plug sporadically cause ERROR
BYT	89604 - [BYT]byt fail to resume from S3 state 89454 - [BYT-M]S3 state cause dmesg error 89401 - [BYT]Some testdisplay case cause screen flicker on testing branch
