Debian 6 (Squeeze) support for Sandy Bridge

Did I need to upgrade X window version too through Debian backports?

I guess the only way is to try the backports repository [2]. For example `xserver-xorg-video-intel` version 2.15.0-3 is available there [3].

Otherwise your only option is Debian Wheezy which is due to be released this year as far as I know.
