Since we are with sasl, here my settings:

sasl_pwcheck_method: auxprop
sasl_auxprop_plugin: ldapdb
sasl_ldapdb_uri: ldap://127.0.0.1
sasl_ldapdb_id: [...]
sasl_ldapdb_pw: [...]
sasl_ldapdb_canon_attr: uid

But what means "Failed to set SASL property"?

Are you actually making use of the sasl_canonuser plugin?

You've got the sasl_ldapdb_canon_attr set, which implies you're remapping ids for the purpose of Cyrus. Is everything working as expected for other services, and only http is affected, or are all Cyrus services behaving similarly?

Ah, I see you started another thread for this in particular; disregard this if it's unrelated.
