  Good morning,

thanks for your answers, you're right, I missed "unixhierarchysep". In my old version didn't defined and works fine with default value, in this version changed default value made me a huge headache :)

Is here anyone from cyrus development ? What was reason to change default value ?I'm only curious.

Thanks you all again and best regards

Hi

Quoting Josef Karliak via Info <info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>:

Good evening,

after migrating mailboxes to Cyrus imap 3.4.x, I could not create  correctly mail boxes, the folder is created as "user^chose", it has  to be created in the "user" folder:

Path :

"/var/spool/imap/user" - here were folders with mailboxes

"/var/spool/imap/user/chose" - expected mail folder

"/var/spool/imap/user^chose" - bad mail folder

And the subfolders (Sent Items or so) are not created too.

The mailbox is created by perl script that worked fine on the last server

Running on opensuse 15.4

  What did I missed ?

This looks like the "unixhierarchysep" setting in your imapd.conf  is wrong.
At some point the default value has changed.

Thanks and best regards

J.Karliak
