Good morning,
I've enabled Postfix's support for UTF8 email, but Cyrus imap do not
accept this messages:
Jan 26 20:06:34 server postfix/discard[7977]: warning:
deliver_request_get: error receiving common attributes
Jan 26 20:06:34 server postfix/lmtp[7967]: 7E16A2196A:
to=<archiv@xxxxxxxxx>, relay=www.server.cz[public/lmtp], delay=0.08,
delays=0.07/0/0/0, dsn=5.6.7, status=bounced (SMTPUTF8 is required, but
was not offered by host www.server.cz[public/lmtp])
Jan 26 20:06:34 server postfix/discard[7978]: warning: unexpected
attribute nrequest from bounce socket (expecting: flags)
Of course, my Cyrus imap isn't new, the version is "2.4.19".
The question is - do Cyrus have a support for SMTPUTF8 in some other
version. Or in the version mentioned above ?
Thanks and best regards

I had that issue and in my case it had nothing to do with cyrus.
In my case there was no correct utf8-encoding by the software which
created the mail which had to be send, in detail with the name of an
attachment: An 8-bit character in the name was used without
utf8-encoding, which lead into the SMTPUTF8-complain by the receiving
smtpd-server.
I solved the problem with a workaround: my php-routine turned the 8-bit
character into 7-bit characters.
Regards
Johann
