so is a unified murder with ldap horizontally scalable?

what limits will i eventually hit, horizontally scaling this type of  configuration?
mupdate memory usage?
lack of multi master replication in mupdate?
too many cross proxy connections between servers?
issues moving mailboxes between servers to equalize load? and localize group resources? is this even necessary?

Thanks in advance!
