This includes SMTPUTF8 protocol support in SMTP-based content filters (Amavisd), LMTP servers (Dovecot), and down-stream SMTP servers. "
As a work-around I disabled UTF-8 support in postfix by adding: 'smtputf8_enable = no' in 'main.cf'
