Hi list,
I'm in process of running up a new server to migrate from 2.4.17 to a
new server running 3.0.7.
I've got saslauthd all running OK, and have the cyrus-imapd server up
and running with what I can see are the options I need (from reading
combination of old server's config files and the man pages on the new
server). I've also looked through the Upgrade documentation.
At this stage I am setting up the server, not yet migrating data.
I have a couple of questions:
1. I had two squatter EVENTS setup in the old server like this:
squatter cmd="/usr/lib/cyrus-imapd/squatter" period=1440
squatter1 cmd="/usr/bin/ionice -c idle
/usr/lib/cyrus-imapd/squatter -s" period=180
This server has about 16GB mail across all users, so it's not big...
I've set a rolling squatter as a daemon in cyrus.conf:
DAEMON {
# this is only necessary if using idled for IMAP IDLE
idled cmd="idled"
# run a rolling squatter using the default sync_log channel "squatter"
squatter cmd="squatter -R"
}
...with imapd.conf:
## Sync Log ##
sync_log: 1
sync_log_channels: “”
Is that OK?
2. As I will be moving existing mailboxes and structures which are
read by webmail systems which are sensitive to the mailbox namespace,
I have set altnamespace: 0... I assume that will give me the same
behaviour as before?
3. I get this on each service restart:

Is that to be expected?
