If anyone is interested (and have a proper push certificate) I have written a small external script to be called from notifyd to handle all aspects of Apple push notification, with device registration being handle by a MySQL database (with cleanup). I think I’ve covered most of the cenários: registration, cleanup, new message, delete and move. Works great! We have a very small shop here (a boutique consulting firm) so approach (external program, not a daemon) suits our needs. I will be glad to share it.
