If you want to use the SQUAT index, you need to run squatter. That doesn't have to happen from cyrus.conf, though. We have a cronjob for that purpose that is a bit more involved.

What advantages / disadvantages to running squatter from cron vs. from cyrus.conf? What does your cronjob look like?
