I have used imapsync to migrate clients mail to my servers running cyrus.

I am not sure if the UIDs are preserved but I have not had any problems with clients.

That being said they are usually changing there credentials and setting up a new account with the move so some issues that would show up with a conversion of the mailstore could be hidden.

Hello:

What is the recommended way to migrate mailboxes from Dovecot to Cyrus, ideally preserving IMAP UIDs and POP3 UIDLs? This seems like it should be a FAQ, but I haven't been able to find a good answer.

Thanks,
Matt
