This is an in-place system, not just a test platform, so that's one reason. Secondly, at the time we actually got the go-ahead, there was a bug in the then-current release (2.4.14, I believe) which caused problems which we could not cope with. Thirdly, we have been tracking the changelogs, and felt that aside from the fix to the -1 quota issue introduced in 2.4.12, there wasn't anything too important out there. Finally, the main server is an old, hard to support, version of Ubuntu, which we want to move off of before we make any further software packages.
