I am currently in the process of setting up a Cyrus mailserver. I am using auxprop as a pw_check method. I find that the saslpasswd2 utility appends my hostname to a specific username when I list the users. No problems so far. However, when I try to authenticate to my mailserver, Cyrus seems to strip off this hostname when feeding it through IMAP login, telling me the user does not exist. I am finding myself in the situation where Cyrus cannot authenticate users that have my hostname added to them, and saslpasswd2 being unable to create a user without the hostname appended to it.
