But the log message still appears in /var/log/syslog, meanwhile the /var/log/imapd.log keeps empty. Why? If it does not, replace the system "syslogd" and "syslog.conf" with the files provided in the "syslog" directory. Since i cannot find the manual of syslog but syslogd, and it doesn't have openlog() function either. So i don't know howto determine if the syslog in my system uses 4.3BSD. I want the messages logged into imapd.log and auth.log, and meanwhile not log messages to /var/log/syslog. My system is Debian lenny i386, cyrus-imapd version is 2.2.13-14. Please help!
