YES!

Our University HelpDesk sporadically gets calls from users who have
left POP running on multiple systems and naturally gets into lock problems.
This is a good time to convert that user to IMAP not fight with antique 
protocols.

AFAICR the Blackberry devices are capable of IMAP.

This is not a problem specific to Cyrus, this is basic to POP.
