That text is from 2002.  Yes, Cyrus Murder is younger than, say, most  
FTP implementations, but it's hardly a spring chicken at this point.   
It's very well tested code in production a lot of places.  If you're  
interested in the functionality, it's invaluable.  Also, there are a  
lot of people on this list and else where who can help you if you run  
into problems.  See the list archives for examples.

You deploy *everything* at your own risk.
